Within this context, art is not used as a diagnostic tool but as a medium to address emotional issues which may be confusing and distressing. Psychotherapeutic approaches which support creative forms of self expression and play are often the preferred method for children and young adults for enabling them to process difficult sensations and emotions. Hayley Stevens
|
Hayley Stevens has 19 years experience working as an integrative body psychotherapist and 30 years as a coach and facilitator of personal change and transformation.
Hayley tends to work long term with people experiencing symptoms associated with Post Traumatic Stress (or PTSD) before moving beyond trauma into finding a way of fully embracing oneself and discovering a different way of being in the world. Working with the undigested remnants of trauma experience requires a very specific approach. Hayley's approach is one that invites the individual to experience being fully embodied - which means to be present to our experience in the here and now, from moment to moment, with a sense of being able to respond to whatever that moment requires. Hayley is a co-founder of Silk House Therapy Practice. |
